Liberty State Park Permit Expires

As of May 1, 2020, JerseyBike will no longer operate in Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The permit that allowed JerseyBike to maintain operations in Liberty State Park expires on April 30, 2020. The State of New Jersey will be issuing a request for proposals for future bike share operations in Liberty State Park.

The easiest way to stay warm on a bike is to keep your core warm with layers. Layers will keep you warmer than just a jacket and will make adjusting to temperature changes easer. Choose a base layer that wicks away moisture, a thermal mid layer to retain heat, and an outer layer with windbreaker ability.

HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE – Try to keep sipping water from the beginning of your ride until the very end. At least 20-24 oz of water per hour during your workout, or more depending on your weight and height.

Hudson County’s Bike Share Program, JerseyBike, Has Announced a Partnership with Steven’s Institute of Technology, That Will Provide Discounts for Students and Staff for the Bike Share Program

Launched in Hoboken in October of 2015 with 250 bicycles, the program has since expanded to include multiple Hudson County municipalities including Bayonne, Weehawken, West New York, Guttenberg, North Bergen, as well as Port Imperial and a trial period with the NJ State Park Service at Liberty State Park.

That’s How They Roll: Bayonne Launches Bike Share Program

The Peninsula City launched its bike-share program on Monday, providing residents a new way to get around the city. Mayor Jimmy Davis and members of the City Council introduced the new program outside City Hall, at one of program’s six pick-up/drop-off locations. “The City of Bayonne is very happy to welcome the bike-share program to our community,” Davis said. “It will provide a convenient transportation option for our residents and visitors. We are glad to work with the program to provide several bike locations throughout our city.”
